Senior Roadway Project Manager - PE (OKC, OK)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Roadway Project Manager to lead transportation infrastructure projects across Oklahoma. This role requires deep knowledge of roadway design, project management best practices, and the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective transportation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong relationships with ODOT, OTA, municipalities, and other public sector clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead roadway and transportation design projects from inception through construction.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients such as ODOT, OTA, cities, counties, and federal agencies.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and project teams.
  • Prepare and manage project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
  • Oversee development of construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates in accordance with ODOT/OTA and AASHTO standards.
  • Coordinate with internal disciplines (survey, structures, hydraulics, construction administration) and external subconsultants.
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Prepare technical reports, proposals, and participate in client interviews and presentations.
  • Monitor project performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Oklahoma (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in roadway design and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience managing ODOT/OTA roadway projects or similar public sector transportation projects.
  • Experience in the design of interchanges a plus
  • Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer (ORD), and other relevant design software.
  • Strong understanding of ODOT/OTA standards, AASHTO guidelines, and federal/state funding processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing client relationships within Oklahoma’s transportation sector.
  • Experience with federally funded transportation projects and NEPA processes.
  • Familiarity with local agency permitting and utility coordination.
