Site Design Engineer - PE (OKC, OK)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Prepare and monitor project budgets. Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects. Serve as a project manager or project engineer and as a designated client contact. Assist department head in the coordination of pricing, estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects. Prepare design computations and quantity estimates. Develop probable construction cost estimates for projects within the department. Attend client meetings – days or evenings (evenings being fairly unusual). Prepare or modify reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, design analysis, and designs for the project. Instruct draftspersons/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings. Visit construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents. Serve as onsite project representative. Responsible for project manager and/or project team quality system tasks as defined in the Quality Control manual.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited University Oklahoma P.E. License or the ability to acquire an Oklahoma P.E. License within 6 months. 4 years’ experience in the field of Civil Engineering, including experience with site design and/or with federal/military projects. Clean background. This position will often represent the company during on-site meetings, sometimes with military and other government clients. As such, a background check will be required. Valid Driver’s License.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Site design, grading, storm sewer design, utility design and coordination, floodplain delineation, surface water, and stormwater management/design, and hydraulic modeling Private, military, municipal, and/or state agency clients Microsoft Office proficiency. Demonstrated experience in project management, civil site design/development, and general oversight Proficiency with MicroStation PowerInRoads/OpenRoads and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D Ability to work with and supervise a team of engineers and technicians while coordinating with and meeting the needs of clients and sub-consultants, including land survey teams, environmental specialists, and architects. Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $90,000.00 – $135,000.00 per year (increasing based on experience)

Education:

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (Required) Experience:

Civil Engineering: 4 years (Required) License/Certification:

Fundamentals of Engineering Certification OR Registered Profession Engineer (PE) in the state of Oklahoma.
