Our ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
· Assists in client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
· Assists in the development of probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.
· Attends client meetings – days or evenings.
· Assists in the analysis of reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design project.
· Prepares design computations and quantity estimates.
· Assists in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits and designs for project.
· Instructs draftspersons/technicians to reduce designs to working drawings.
· Reviews construction site to monitor progress and other duties per the contract documents.
· Serves as onsite project representative.
· Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
· Performs occasional drafting.
· Responsible for job specific quality system tasks as defined in quality manual.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
· Engineering Intern (EI) Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months.
· 1-4 years’ experience in the field of Civil Engineering
· Computer skills including Microsoft Office tools
· Proficient with Computer Aided Design Software (CAD), either Microstation, InRoads, OpenRoads, or Civil3D
· Strong communication skills
· Demonstrate the ability to work in a team setting with professional staff including PEs, EI and Technicians.
· Authorized to work in the US
· Clean background
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
· Site design and/or roadway design, and/or aviation design including grading, storm sewer design, utility design and coordination, floodplain delineation, surface water and stormwater management/design and hydraulic modeling
· Oklahoma P.E. License or the ability to acquire an Oklahoma P.E. License within 6 months to 1 year.
