The City of Oklahoma City selected MacArthur Associated Consultants, LLC (MAC) for a project which consisted of approximately 27,500 linear feet of 36-inch, 42-inch, and 48-inch sanitary sewer relief lines with all necessary appurtenances. The sanitary sewer line connects to an existing 48-inch sanitary sewer main located northeast of the intersection of Southwest 15th Street and County Line Road, which was constructed under Project No. SC-0070, Phase II. The project was a continuation of the City of Oklahoma City’s commitment to implement the improvements outlined in the 2009 Wastewater Master Plan. The master plan identified this area as an area with potential growth and the existing system was at or over capacity. The improvements involved coordination with ongoing development in the area, right-of-way identification, as well as, constructibility concerns. The over 27,000 linear feet of large diameter sanitary sewer was required to be placed at a depth ranging from 15 feet to 30 feet. The creek crossings and the elimination of existing siphons were also an additional component of the project.
