Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

MAC provided professional civil engineering services for this $6,000,000 project to replace the existing asphalt portions of Taxiways C and G with PC concrete. In doing so, the project was designed in accordance with the brand-new Taxiway Design Group (TDG) 6 designation which was introduced in the new AC 150/5300-13A CHG 1 FAA Advisory Circular published in February 2014. Intersections at Taxiways C-6, G-1, and J were designed for the new TDG 6 utilizing cockpits over centerline steering. The Airbus A340-600 and Boeing 747-400 were utilized as the design aircraft. The project was comprised of 42,300 SY of 16” PC concrete pavement and included relocation of 9,100 SY of asphalt shoulder pavement, relocation of the existing taxiway edge lights, fuel containment flumes, underdrains, grading, phasing, pavement marking, and drainage.
